The idea behind the Franchise 2.0 Ecosystem — how it all started
In 2021 I launched the multi-dimensional Franchise 2.0 project — Strategy. Education. Technology — to tell the stories of franchise leaders and show potential franchisees and franchisors how to recognise a good franchise.
The development of the project coincided with a period when the government began consultations and work on regulating the market with a franchise act.
In my conversations with the market through publications and media appearances, I wanted to show that franchising is not about regulations but about a well-structured, profitable model — because such a model simply defends itself in the market.
On the basis of my advisory experience working with entrepreneurs, investors, managers and franchise operators, I created the Franchise 2.0 concept.
Kickoff of the Franchise 2.0 Project at the Forbes Knowledge Centre
The first Partners of the Franchise 2.0 Project were market leaders in franchising — franchise networks with a very high level of organisational maturity and high scalability potential, along with franchisees and franchisors.
The Kickoff took place at the Forbes Knowledge Centre, where we led a discussion on the franchise market and building successful franchise networks. It was an important step in building a quality dialogue around the good franchise model.
"Franchise Brands With Impact" Competition
In 2024 we launched the "Franchise Brands With Impact!" competition, showcasing the best franchise brands that franchise candidates should seriously consider partnering with.
The mission of the competition is qualitative change in the franchise market — stimulating responsible franchising based on building systematic, scalable franchise organisations that compete through innovation and a responsible approach to people.
Franchise 2.0 Conference & Workshop
At the Franchise 2.0 Conference & Workshop we discuss growth tools for franchise organisations that want to build competitive advantage through good franchising.
We combine expert talks, franchise brand case studies and panel discussions. It is a space where entrepreneurs, solution providers and investors can work on the next chapter of their networks.
