We want to showcase good Franchise Brands that are worth associating with when you, as a Franchise Candidate, are looking for a franchise business, because their organizational, management and technological solutions will have an impact on your business and influence your success in franchising. Moreover, they are also the ones with whom it is easier and safer for you to make money in the network.

The aim of the competition is qualitative change in the franchise market. Our goal is to stimulate responsible franchising based on systemic and repeatable Franchise Organizations that compete thanks to so-called Franchise Innovation and are guided by the idea that franchising is all about People.

By launching the Competition, we want to energize the franchise industry and encourage more Brands to plug into our dialogue and strive for impact, participating in this qualitative change. We will show a growing number of good practices. And not only among Brands, but also among suppliers of solutions for Franchise Brands, such as technology to support social change or brand engagement.

The competition and accompanying dialogue context is both a gateway to knowledge and an innovation for Franchisors, Franchisees, Franchise Candidates and other Stakeholders in the franchise ecosystem to build sustainable and winning Franchise Organizations 2.0 for which People Matter.

In this category, we award Brands and/or Supplier solutions that care about people—Franchisees in the network and their professional, financial, physical and social well-being—and are able to engage Franchisees in a way that makes them want to stay in the network and earn within a franchise business.

What is eligible for this category?

  • A program or initiative that stimulates the development of Franchisee entrepreneurship and/or the development of the Partners’ local leadership.
  • A program or initiative that improves the well-being of the Franchisee—an educational or development program linked to the goals of the business and people in the network, implemented at scale.
  • A program or initiative that confirms the practice of organizational culture and shared values.
  • A program or initiative that strives to maximize quality of life for people within the network, as measured and expressed through improvements in franchisee satisfaction using the NPS index.

Impactful Technology in Franchising

In this category, we award Franchise Brands and Supplier solutions for Franchise Brands that leverage technology in new scalable ways while supporting the growth and efficiency of the Franchisee’s business. The starting point in this category will be embedding the nominated program or technological solution into the context of the organization’s overall digital transformation and its impact on the Franchise Network’s key operational metrics and financial performance.

What is eligible for this category?

  • Programs or solutions that involve the strategic use of technology that changes the network’s business model or creates new business models based on digital products or services.
  • An organizational development program or solution involving the adoption of a new operational or management model for the Franchise Organization, so that it operates faster and more flexibly and transfers knowhow more effectively in the network.
  • A program for leveraging technology, especially GenAI, that is aimed at achieving transformation throughout the entire organization or within specific processes, which facilitates value beyond the hype and prepares the entire organization for change by laying out a roadmap, and developing skills, data culture and organizational culture. The secret to fully exploiting technology’s potential is never just technology.
  • Technology that supports social change or social or environmental engagement of Brands.

Franchise Organization of Tomorrow

  • Programs and solutions designed to change the way a Brand builds its market value in a changing business environment, where the biggest challenge comes from new generations, a new type of consumer and technology.

Jury

Jury members will be announced on April 26.

The Jury will consist of 12 members, 4 representatives each from Franchise Brands, Suppliers and Stakeholders in the Franchise Ecosystem: universities, NGOs and VCs.
